KotCat ("we", "our", "us") provides a Chrome extension and web application for saving and learning vocabulary.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect user data.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following information:

• Words and text selected by the user on websites

• Vocabulary cards created by the user

• Google account data (when explicitly authorized)

Google User Data

Our application may request access to Google user data via OAuth, including:

• Google Sheets data (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets)

• Google Drive file metadata (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.metadata.readonly)

We access this data only when the user explicitly connects their Google account.

We use Google Sheets data solely to:

• Import vocabulary cards from spreadsheets

• Export vocabulary cards to spreadsheets (if enabled by the user)

We use Google Drive metadata solely to:

• Display a list of available spreadsheets for user selection

We do NOT:

• Access unrelated files

• Read or store content outside selected spreadsheets

• Sell or share Google user data with third parties

Data Usage

We use collected data only to:

• Provide core application functionality

• Store and manage vocabulary cards

• Improve user experience

Data Sharing

We do NOT sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.

Data Storage and Retention

User data is stored securely on our servers.

Users can delete their data at any time.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect user data.

User Control

Users can:

• Disconnect their Google account at any time

• Revoke access via Google Account settings
